Why Oh Why Harlequin Romance?

Yeah, you heard it here first, Harlequin Romance now features a NASCAR-themed series of novels.

Godawful plot premises, after the jump

Speed Dating

Dylan Hargreave thinks I’m an actress paid to pose as his girlfriend at a North Carolina society wedding. How did this happen to me, of all people? Kendall Clarke, award-winning actuary, the veritable shining star of number crunchers who, just hours ago, learned her responsible fiancé (sorry, ex-fiancé) called off our wedding because he’d gotten one of my colleagues pregnant. There’s no way Lisa will ever go back to being a “sideline cheerleader,” but this caring, committed Wade hardly seems to be the same man she left behind. Suddenly, staying beneath the radar in North Carolina doesn’t seem to be such a bad idea.…

Better than the “Pregnant Army Wives” series I had to file during my brief stint at the library…romance novel series are SERIOUSLY WEIRD.
